Remember the time when we were kids and that relative would come and ask, ‘What do you want to be in the future?’
It was always something like a doctor, scientist, driver, etc.… people were done after that… That’s just plain sh*t.
It’s time to grow up.
Slowly and steadily you grow up… everyone does. and then, what? You are either interested in studies or into playing or neither… you just love to watch anime in your bed and eat and sleep.
It’s cool.
You can f*ck up your own life. I have nothing to do :)
There are people who are just plain crazy about fulfilling their dreams. And dreams are something we all do or we had.
An unmotivated person is a different and exceptional case.
But other than that, we dream to be something far greater and better than we already are. We are humans.
Ofc, if you dream of grabbing the moon, it ain’t possible…
To fly in these skies, to be free, to be financially free before 25.
I don’t know how many of you dream to be in prestigious colleges like MIT, IIT, AIIMS, etc. but personally…
A man has to kill his dream to fulfill it.
It is terrifying. Nothing short. But still, a dream has to die to get fulfilled.
People dream to have luxuries…
People dream to have a million dollars in the bank.
People dream of never working ever…
They think and dream a lot.
But the problem remains in the fact that they think about their dream instead they should think about how to fulfill their dreams…
It’s fine to have multiple dreams. But with multiple dreams, you must be okay with working as multiple as you much have…
I personally have a dream of getting financially free before the age of 25. Sorry, I don’t have dreams…
I cut that list name from DREAMS to GOALS. (Inspired by Jeetu Bhaiya from Kota Factory)
Because in a way, dreams can’t be achieved. Goals are achievable. Although the goal tends to leave you barren and hence, you should focus more on habits, but that’s a separate topic.
Goals must be concise, smart, and timely, and most importantly, you must have the passion to work toward them.
Passion is really important because, without your wholehearted intent towards your dream or goal (whatever you call it), I guarantee that you would never achieve what you wanted in the first place.
Just like APJ Abdul Kalam said, ‘Dream is not the thing you see in sleep but is that thing that doesn't let you sleep.”
True dreams are like that.
Self-discipline and control over your own mind help a lot in achieving your long-term dreams.
Personally, I have spent a lot of sleepless nights thinking about how to achieve my dream. And guess what? I don’t have any foolproof plan on how to get financially free before 25.
Of course, there are possible ways. But none of them guarantee success.
Probably, it’s for the best.
A man’s true intent should be on discovering his own destiny bit by bit and step by step.
With trials and errors, he must make his own path by cutting through the strings of problems.
Anyways… here’s a short synopsis of how to achieve your dream. I tried to simplify it as much as possible.
HOW TO ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS?
Step 1) Have a sense of clarity.
Without this, you are no one. Ask yourself, ‘Who do I want to be?’. You will not get any good answers from yourself first.
It’s natural. Take your time. Take your time deciding and confirming what you want to become. So that when doubts strike, you have a clear clarity to tackle them.
I had this answer ready whenever I was asked what do you want to be in future… I would answer "Scientist.”
But after having the conscious mind… It’s not exactly a scientist…
In the first week of deep thinking, I realized that I want to be a physics scientist.
In the second week, I realized that I would rather be a Quantum Researcher than an Astrophysicist (I’m still in doubt).
After a month, I realized that I want to be free. I don’t want anyone or anything to take control of my time.
After 3 months and counting, I am in the position. And I’m pretty sure… that I want to be someone who would bring a huge change in the common lives of people. And even if it’s not something like that… I would rather be someone who would always keep on learning. I want to be an entrepreneur when I grow up. I want to solve people’s problems. I want to bring a change in the society. I want to be rich so that I and only I can have complete control over my materialistic life.
Step 2: Be practical.
How? If someone wants to be a teacher… no, if someone wants to be an English teacher, ask yourself, ‘What are the steps of becoming what I want to become?’ If you don’t know, search on Google, and ask Chat GPT.
For example, it’s plain that to be an English teacher in India, you have to complete your class 12 in Humanities and then, you have to enroll for a Bachelor of Arts in English, you have to give exams like NET, CUET, etc.
But the most important thing to consider is to have a complete guiding roadmap built by yourself.
Be realistic with your dreams. Work hard and you will win as long as you want the thing more than anything else.
Don’t let anyone else decide your path. Be your own mentor sometimes.
Step 3: Kill your dream.
The title is for keeping it fancy… Well, what I mean is Be good in execution. Do things as per your own made road map. BE DYNAMIC. If there are any changes in the curriculum, modify your road map. Always remember just like there’s no way to be getting wealth quickly, there’s also no single way to achieve your “dream” in just one night.
And what after that? Well…
The top of a mountain is just the bottom of another.
In the academic sense, aim higher. After getting into MIT, your aim could be to be a member of the Royal Society. But anyways, it’s completely fine if you don’t want to run and enjoy life.
But still, the main important thing is NOT TO STOP LEARNING. Because without learning, you will be just plain STAGNANT.
And staying in your comfort zone slowly kills you from the inside.
Follow these steps and want that one single thing more than any other thing and you will slowly realize that the universe has its own way of giving what you ask from it.
It’s with life… you get what you ask for it. But the only condition is:
YOU HAVE TO CONSISTENTLY ASK FOR IT AND YOU HAVE TO ASK IT MORE THAN ANY OTHER THING ELSE.
