This Indian Education System is a GRAND LIE
Wow... now you are realizing this... The 'society' needs a goddamn change.
Well… I never thought I would have written this if this was me 2 years ago. Long aback… there was this kid, who knew nothing but studying and reading books.
I was a book worm. I still am. It’s just that now, I read non fiction, self-improvement, and self-help books more than my school study books.
No amount of money is too much money.
No amount of study is too much study.
I have seen people bragging about 12 hours of studying.
I have seen people just learning 20 hours of studying. But none of it, made any difference until I realized…
This is a grand fake lie we all were made to believe since that day, the orthodox system reigned… far before we were born.
“Now… it’s time to study. Get back to it…”
That would be all my Ma would say… and I would sit down studying hard till the night turned into dawn. And I lost track of time. Perhaps, it was a race which I liked winning.
Something inside was always chasing the urge to be the top of the class. There is this rising status of being the topper of the class…
And yet, there was something empty in me… I never realized this before my ninth standard came to an end.
Lock down had changed the world. And my world was another minuscule little beast in it too… something which got massively affected.
I see people… skipping up their naps… skipping those little family discussions… skipping those short little talks with close friends who actually care about you… just to get a rank in an competitive exam.
True.
There is no alternative for hard work.
There never could be.
But here’s the thing you need to know: HARDWORK IS MASSIVELY OVERRATED.
You might not realize this now… But look around. That worker who cleans the sweeps just gets 400 INR for the entire day of hard labor. While there is this smart guy… just writing an article with just a few lines of instructions to ChatGPT making 2000 INR in just 10 minutes with a client.
Back young… we were and still are taught in the orthodox Sharma ji ka beta way: “If you don’t study, you won’t get a job.”
In this era… “If you don’t study long and hard, you won’t get a good job.” That’s the harsh truth.
People are getting into coaching centers… for JEE, AIIMS, UPSC and what not… they are spending so much time in these that they aren’t even aware of the amount of time getting out of their own hands.
I’m not saying that it’s not worth going to coaching centers…
But what I’m against is the loosely going and spending your time… wasting your time doing unnecessary sh*ts in between. I want you to be aware and conscious of the time you are spending.
IIT doesn’t magically happens to everyone.
Nor does AIIMs.
You have to struggle. You have to persevere.
It’s ok to work hard for something you actually think, is worth it.
But if you are an Arts student but your parents are willing you to be a doctor… then don’t go for NEET and waste your parent’s money.
Have that hard conversation. It might change your entire life.
This Indian Education system is training students to be GOOD WORKERS.
It’s teaching how you can work better under someone. Instead of teaching how you can be an employer instead.
You want to stay poor?
No? Then, here’s another hard truth: you can never ever be RICH by being an employee to a company.
Sure… you can have $2MILLION salary as a highly paid CA at an angel investing firm. But you can never be FREE.
The Only 10 Legit Ways to Earn$ for Teens
# Legit Ways to Earn Money for Teenagers: Exploring Opportunities for Financial Independence. I never thought about these things… until I was in 9th standard things were just studying, watching anime and sleeping. I don’t even know how it got to me. But I remember opening up YouTube one day and then, I searched for the stock market.
The worst part of the Indian Goddamn Education System?
Here’s it: Even if you did study, for the exams … a piece of paper with questions stands judge to all those hours of hard work of yours… in just 3 hours.
Hmm… And we thought that the world was fair.
I say, ‘A piece doesn’t and can never determine the person you truly are.” You will say, ‘Go and make our parents understand that.’
That’s true.
Our marks depend a lot… But that doesn’t mean that every hard working girl or a guy would be a topper.
And even if you become AIR 1… someone next year would replace your position.
All that matters, are marks.
Welcome to the Indian Education System where all they see are marks and they don’t even care about your hard work and how you spent your time struggling with your studies.
How to get out of this rat race? …
We will know that in the next blogpost.
Till then, good bye.
Good but not upto the mark bro!!!!
Well this was just too good someone told this , but actually studies or topper only matters in India , you should have also mentioned sports , e sports and all . Still , I appreciate your opinion and I am completely in favour of it. Keep writing
